Black Hole of Progress

That is what here before me: the iPad, television with cable, DVDs, Netflix, video games, etc.

Eh.

Eedeeoots

Truly believe I am surrounded by idiots(Eedeeoots). I have come to learn too that delegate means "more work" and "less done " . It's fargin maddening I tell ya!

And we aren't talking dumb people. Most have at least a two year or four year and are given certain abilities and powers by the city/state. Still: fargin idiots. I think it's just laziness, however, when a poor schmuck who is volunteering for free does more work and is more reliable than someone making 30/hr...........well.....WTF?

In other news: still fighting the low carb fight. Today I got down to 54grams.......that apple just looked too tempting and was needed. I had lost ten pounds the previous week, but that got shot to hell at the casino buffet in Carlton. Freaking yummy though! And prime rib is definitely on the diet! Probably not the stuffed shrimp, chicken Kiev, or pie that was on the line and soon in my belly though!

So today marks a new day. Lets hope for the best shall we?

Carbs Are Bad

Yup, that's what I learned.

Apparently, after a hankering for a Big Mac, yes, that's right, that glorious double patty wonder with the sweet tang of pickles and what I'm going to assume is thousand island dressing......and then a McDouble....and then Cheese Curds....and Corn Dog.....and Root Beer Float.....and Fresh French Fries......and Lemonade.....then of course the suds later on.....

Well lets just say that I was a gurgly mess.

Some will say that it was the Cheese Curds and the grease, but I thoroughly believe it to be the starchy carbs in the fries and bread.

Either way, with all the walking I've done, down to 297.4....at least that what the scale says. I think it lies. Maybe because it's on carpeting. But it's consistent, and that's what counts. For perspective, apparently if I move it to solid floor, it's 298.2. Ugh. Almost 1 pound. Deceived by carpeting!!!!! Not difficult to deceive me I guess. Glad it's just short pile instead of a berber or ugh, sculpted!

DAY 2

Last night, went pretty well.

Sad realization that my size 2XL jacket doesn't fit me anymore. A bit too small. Bah, who needs jackets anyways?

Barely had any carbohydrates. My one vice of the night however was the Chicken Fried Bacon. It's like crack. But it cuts the roof of your mouth like Capt'n Crunch. Still.....like crack.

Otherwise, great. Went to the gyro place and had it as a salad, Hold the Pita. Damn good. They even give you a few olives and a hot pepper, JUST BECAUSE YOU ORDERED THE SALAD!!! Here I thought it would be basically some shredded lettuce with meat on top. I would of been happy. But they actually added more!

So 300.0 upon waking up. Maybe tomorrow will be 299?

DAY 1 OF MN FAIR....303.2

So I start this by saying that I have no clue why I signed up again. 12 days of walking around, dealing with the randoms who wander the grounds.

It's fun. I get to see friends who I typically only see once a year at this time I guess. I've always been in a family that enjoyed the fair. Not the little county fairs that take a few minutes to walk through the interesting parts, we're talking the MN State Fair! We'd get up at 4am....forced to obviously. Pile into my dad's friend's van(Since you have to carpool doncha know!), and drive over before the sun rose in the east. More than one year, we managed to be parked AT THE FENCE next to the grounds! How awesome is that? If you don't know how big this is, let me say that in my later years when going to the fair wasn't such a big deal, if I got there at 10am, I'd be parking in the boondocks and would have to walk about a mile just to see the edge of the festivities.....And still have to pay $10 or $20 just to do so!

So last year, I kinda had an idea to lose some weight at the fair. I know, dumb idea. But what the hell. That's the kinda guy I am!

So if you read any of my previous posts, you'll know weight has always been that elusive lil bastard number that haunts me. Okay, it's more that uncomfortable tightness that you get when you sit in a small car and feel like Chris Farley all of a sudden wearing a suit made for a little guy.

Right now, that number is not so little either. It's actually still hovering around the same as it was earlier this year....okay maybe higher. We did some good eating this summer!

So since then, I've read a few books that have only steeled my idea that perhaps a Low Carb, High Fat diet is the right one. Tried it for a few days too, only to be ruined by the stress monster.

So last night, I had my Big Mac, Large Fries, Large Coke. Threw in a McDouble just for kicks, and I'm sure I'm at a good solid 304 or 305....give me a second.............303.2. And that's including socks, so lets round it down to 303 shall we?

The Plan: Eat High Fat Foods. Should be very easy at the fair. I'll focus on Kabobs, Curds, Bacon, and Pork Chops on a Stick. Shouldn't be too hard. I'll allow myself limited carbohydrates, but will allow small variances for those fair favorites. If I want to get a Corn Dog, fine, but I don't need a Foot Long Corn Dog, nor do I need one every day. I don't need a giant mass of cheesy covered potatoes with some name to make them sound exotic and from Australia. Lets face it, they're cheese covered potatoes with MSG!

And that's that. I'll check in with what my daily weight is, and hopefully by Labor Day, Sept 3rd, I'll be a few pounds less!

Christopher Titus - Love Is Evol - Part 1/9

This is perhaps the funniest comedian out there. I've seen him live doing his new set, and it's fantastic. I do believe however that this is one of the best routines I've seen. It hits home rather well for me!!
